AGM News : 28 April 2026

We held our 2026 AGM on 28 April with 14 members present. The minutes have been sent to everyone via email. Here's a brief summary: All Officers stay in post, unopposed; we agreed to adopt the new website before the end of the season; we also agreed to change the wording in the BBPS Constitution to refer to the new website rather than the old (current) version - any amendment to the Constitution needs approval at an AGM. John thanked Dave Riley (Kranky Dai) for all his hard work in compiling the new website. We also agreed to continue with Themed and Open sections of the Internal Competitions and I will be sending out a request for 'Themes' shortly. We are still looking for a volunteer for the position of Social Secretary.

After the break we set-up for Leigh Preston's PDI presentation 'Photographic Opportunity' which was slightly delayed due to a technical hitch, no sound. It turned out to be a broken speaker cable, but we just about managed with the speakers from the lap top. This was a fairly old compilation of Leigh's images from lockdown, but it covered such a wide range of genres and was coupled with Leigh's inimitable narration. This was a last minute contingency as we had planned to have had Dai's presentation which we will look forward to seeing another time. Thanks everyone.
