About The Club
Welcome to Baglan Bay Photographic Society. We are a group of like-minded friends with an interest in Photography. We meet at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings - face to face on the first and last Tuesdays of the month and via Zoom on other Tuesday evenings.
Our face to face meetings are held at The Briton Ferry Town Council Community Hall SA11 2NS. Our programme of events and meeting dates may be seen in the Announcements Section of our Facebook page under 'What's Coming Up'. It will also be seen on the Members Updates page of this website.
Baglan Bay Photographic Society is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through its membership of the Welsh Photographic Federation.
The Club offers a range of options for it's members. We hold our own internal competitions for Prints and Digital images and also encourage our members to take part in inter club competitions throughout the year. It's not all about competing, as we meet each Thursday for an arranged photoshoot, where you can pick the brains of some of our more experienced members. Our face to face meetings offer the opportunity for practical evenings, critique and lively discussion.
We present Talks by well-known visiting photographers, who show us their work and talk about their experiences in the world of photography.
We welcome photographers of all levels and skill, from beginners to advanced, and in all branches of photography including natural history, street, landscape, portraiture and travel.
Please come along and find out what we are about. We look forward to welcoming you to our friendly club.
